Project reference 16874

High Point — Laser Gps Gnss Workflow

Define the finished purpose, reference levels, underlying material condition and the evidence required by the receiving operation. Geometry alone does not establish structural or agronomic performance.

This reference assembles relevant extracts from the guide library. It is general project planning, not a local project report, verified specification or translated technical publication.

GPS/GNSS Receiver Systems

GPS/GNSS receivers provide position information with different correction arrangements and intended uses. Choose the complete positioning workflow for the task rather than buying a receiver solely by its label.

Before moving material

Confirm vertical requirements, correction service and design integration.

Receiving operation and checks

Verify the actual graded surface. Record correction availability and calibration checks.

General navigation equipment should not be advertised as precision grading equipment without evidence.

Dugong + GPS/GNSS Grading

Using Dugong with GPS/GNSS grading requires a complete positioning and implement-reference workflow. Antenna position must be related to the working edge and the issued surface design.

Before moving material

Confirm corrections, datum and the intended control installation.

Receiving operation and checks

Survey or otherwise independently check the resulting grade. Record interruptions and the design revision used.

A tractor's navigation system alone does not establish scraper grade-control capability.

High Spots

A high spot is meaningful only relative to the intended surface. It may obstruct runoff, limit cultivation depth or sit above a construction formation. Cutting it without knowing the target can remove useful soil unnecessarily.

Before moving material

Measure the feature against surrounding levels and the agreed datum.

Receiving operation and checks

Recheck the corrected level and restore the appropriate surface layer. Check whether the high spot was a local deposit or part of the intended contour.

A visible mound is not automatically a defect.

Record the job inputs

Use this checklist to turn the scenario into a specific brief. Retain the design revision and agree who accepts each completed layer.

Checklist ticks apply only while this page is open. Include the completed brief in your project records.
